A million downloads!

fMMS now reached a million downloads (a few days back, actually) on the counter at http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/fmms/. Thank you everyone that keeps using my application! Thank you also for the patches and suggestions you keep sending me, even though I might be a bit slow to reply at times I do appreciate it and try to integrate/fix things sooner or later. :)

PS. 1.3.3 needs your vote to make it to Extras http://maemo.org/packages/package_instance/view/fremantle_extras-testing_free_armel/fmms/1.3.3/ ;-)

PPS. I still appreciate the donations, keep them coming ;)

Nice – congratulations!
How about adding option for multiple receivers?

Multiple receivers was added in v1.2.6, so hopefully it works ;-)

I’m running fMMS 1.3.4 on my N900 now, but this blog only mentions 1.3.3

Am I hacked? Should I return my phone to the store to get it fixed?

Thanks for the great tool. But it doesn’t work for most Chinese users without a patch needed.

Hi James,

I replied to your email last month – did you not get it? Attaching it below

Hi James,

For explanation about connection modes, please see: http://blog.frals.se/2010/05/19/fmms-1-0-3-now-in-extras/

For the settings you should probably set up the following (according to http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/settings):

APN: mms
MMSC: http://mms.2degreesmobile.net.nz/
Proxy: 118.148.1.118
Proxy port: 8080

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Nick
